We're not building another social app.

We're building the infrastructure for student life in Kenya.

The Problem

Students in Kenya are scattered across WhatsApp groups, Telegram channels, Twitter spaces, and LinkedIn DMs trying to do three things: connect, find work, and stay informed.

There's no single place where a student can find a gig, join a community of like-minded people, and know what's actually happening on campus; all without switching between five apps.

We thought that was broken. So we're fixing it.

What Komrade Is

Komrade is Reddit meets Upwork, built exclusively for Kenyan university students.

The social side gives you communities; we call them Tribes; where Techies, Creatives, Business majors, and everyone in between can find their people, share ideas, and stay plugged into what matters.

The work side gives you gigs. Real, paid work posted by real people and businesses who need student talent. No recruiter tax. No waiting three weeks for a callback. You see a gig, you apply, you get it done.

And everything in between; campus news, events, strike alerts, freshers' bashes; flows through the feed in real time. If it's happening, it's on Komrade.

Why Students Only

Every user on Komrade is verified through their Student ID or university email. No exceptions.

This isn't gatekeeping; it's quality control. When everyone in the room is a real, verified student, the conversations are better, the gigs are more relevant, and the trust is built in from day one.

Just students.

The Team

We're students who got tired of the status quo. Built by the same people who'll be using it, because no one understands what students need better than students themselves.

For students. By students.
